Australian/NZ NRL - Auckland Warriors

I designed a mascot program for the Australian/NZ Rugby League. 16 teams and the National Kangaroos representative side. Lots of fun bar budget woes and an unclear corporate message about the demographics as well as too little to play with in terms of character costumes etc. This is the Auckland/New Zealand team mascot and provided me with the opportunity to make team colours and markings an integral part of the design rather than an animal or cartoon human head with a football guernsey on or a chicken costume with baggy tights as is so often the case/cliché. Toki the Auckland Warrior allowed for awesome Maori motifs/markings and dynamic poses like the Haka!
