Piano fretboard designs for Baz Luhrmann's Australia. Symmetrical but more Art Nouveaux than Art Deco. Designed in pencil, taken into photoshop then illustrator then sent out to CNC as with the Superman Returns elevator pieces. Taking special care to make tolerances finger-width like an oldschool carver/carpenter would have done it as the film was set during WWII. Not with the tighter tolerances of computer assisted design and CNC routing. Australian waratah motif!
